Quibble is a trivia game for iPhone and Android. This page explains what the app collects when you play, why, who else handles it, and how to get it deleted. In short: we collect what the game needs to work, we show ads to keep it free, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
Quibble ("we", "us") is the app and the team behind it. For anything about your privacy or your data, email nikadvalishvili517@gmail.com.
What we collect
Your account. You can play as a guest or sign in with Apple or Google.
- As a guest, we create an anonymous account ID. No name or email is involved.
- With Apple or Google, we receive your account ID, email address and name from them. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only see the private relay address Apple gives us.
Your profile. Your username, the display name you choose, the avatar and card design you wear, and the ones you own.
How you play. The quizzes you play, your answers and how long each took, your XP, level, coins, streaks, badges and leaderboard scores.
Your time zone. So daily streaks and the daily challenge follow your own calendar day.
Advertising data. Ads are shown by Google AdMob. When an ad loads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID (on iPhone, only if you allow tracking), your IP address, general device and app information, and how you interact with the ad. See "Ads" below.
We don't collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or microphone or camera input.
Why we use it
- To run the game: save your progress, score your answers, pay out coins and XP, and keep your streak.
- To show leaderboards and player profiles to other players.
- To show ads, and to pay you coins when you choose to watch a video.
- To keep the game fair: scoring happens on our servers so results can't be faked.
- To answer you when you contact us.
What other players see
If you're signed in, your display name, avatar, card design, level, rank and leaderboard scores appear on the leaderboards. Other players can open your profile to see your streaks, your XP and your accuracy per category. They never see your email, your individual answers, or your account ID.
Ads
Quibble is free because it shows ads: a full-screen ad after some quizzes, and optional videos you can watch for bonus coins. The ads come from Google AdMob.
- On iPhone, the app asks whether you allow tracking. If you say no, you still see ads, just not personalized ones.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent first, as the law requires. You can change your choice later.
- Google's use of this data is covered by Google's own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Who handles your data
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. A few services handle it on our behalf:
- Supabase stores your account and game data and runs sign-in.
- Apple and Google handle "Sign in with Apple" and "Sign in with Google".
- Google AdMob shows the ads.
These services may process data on servers outside your country. We may also share data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and game data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete it and everything tied to it. Guest accounts that are never used again may be deleted after a while.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the app, go to Profile โ Settings โ Delete account. It deletes your account and all its data right away. You can also email nikadvalishvili517@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll do it within 30 days.
- See or correct your data: email us and we'll send you a copy or fix it.
- Ads: turn off tracking in your iPhone's settings under Privacy & Security โ Tracking, or reset your advertising ID on Android.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe), you may have further rights, such as objecting to how we use your data or complaining to your data protection authority.
Children
Quibble isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Your data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access rules that let each player read only their own private data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect yours.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Quibble uses your data, for example when in-app purchases arrive, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For big changes, we'll tell you in the app.
